2010年メッセージ

日本の友達のみなさんへ

2009年は、世界にとって、それぞれの国にとって、私にとって、また日本のファンのみなさんにとっても、たいへんな挑戦と達成の1年でした。とても胸躍る1年でしたし、皆さんが私の一歩一歩につきあってくださったことに感謝します。

今年は、中国や世界中で、資金援助からボランティアの人数にいたるまで、慈善活動の急速な成長がありました。もっとも大事なことは、毎日何かを返していかなくては、という気持ちをますます多くの人々が持つことです。私たちは地球の、１つの大きな家族の、この世界をよりよい場所にしていく一員であることは紛れもない事実です。もちろん、貧困から教育の欠如、温暖化に至るまで多くの問題が世界にはあります。しかし、このような問題に私たちが打ちひしがれてしまうことはありません。なぜならば、私たち一人一人が、このような問題の解決方法を考え、長期的な視点から生活を見直しているからです。

どうか、みなさんが元気で、健康に過ごされることを！

To my dear fans in Japan,

2009 has been a year of great challenges and tremendous achievements for the world, for every country, for me, and even for all of my fans in Japan. It’s been an exciting ride and I’m glad that you were with me every step along the way.

This year witnessed the rapid growth of philanthropy and charity in China and the world, from the sum of monetary donations to the number of volunteers. Most important of all, more and more people every day are accepting the idea that we should all give back. It’s this undeniable concept that we are all part of one earth and one big family that is making the world a better place. There are no doubt many problems out there, from poverty to lack of education and of course the warming of our planet. But, I know that these problems will not overwhelm us, because each of us are looking at ways to solve these problems, and are looking at life from a long-term perspective.

I hope you are all doing well, and that everyone is taking care of their health!
